Award-winning photographer and graphic designer, Linda Eberle has
been creating unique black & white, handtinted and color photographs for
over 25 years. Featured in galleries in southern California and the Pacific
northwest, her images reflect the natural beauty and architecture of Europe,
Africa, baja Mexico and North America. Her work has been published in both
national and international travel publications and has earned recognition
for creative excellence.
Initially working primarily with black & white images, Linda discovered
her passion for handtinting while creating a series of photos from her first
trip to Italy and Greece in 1984. The ethereal effect of the translucent oil
paints enhanced her black & white images, giving them a mystical sense of
timelessness and evoking a quiet beauty from these sites of antiquity.
Her most recent images are a further exploration of blurring the line
between photography and painting both through digital manipulation and using
mixed media - layering giclée prints with oil pastels. Linda is currently
completing a series of black & white and handtinted photos of the historic
California Missions.
